About Emily

Emily graduated from Michigan State University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics. She completed her internship in North Carolina, including rotations at the Duke Diet and Fitness Center.

In 2012, she moved back to Michigan to be closer to family and joined a local hospital, where she worked in acute care and long-term acute care. She supported patients with a wide range of diseases and comorbidities, earned her Clinical Nutrition Support Certification, and specialized in tube feedings and parenteral nutrition.

Her true passion emerged in 2013 when she transitioned to outpatient counseling, focusing on weight management and bariatric surgery patients.

Today, Emily stays current with nutrition practices across diverse populations. She works with college students, dialysis patients, athletes of all ages and disciplines, disordered eating behaviors, weight loss medications and bariatrics and provides personalized nutrition counseling to those seeking support.

She earned her ACE Personal Trainer Certification in 2014 and became a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics in 2016. Emily has taught group exercise classes, including spinning, yoga, dance, and speed/agility training. She continues offering 1:1 personal training.

Deeply committed to her community, she has served on park boards, participated in local run clubs, and strives to create more fitness and adventure opportunities in her neighborhood.
